Our Client

Tilt Renewables is an established developer, owner and operator of renewable generation assets in Australasia.   Tilt was established in 2016 with a mandate to tilt the renewables industry, behave like a startup, challenge the status quo and embrace technological changes.  Since its inception Tilt has set out to find new ways to connect to communities, engage with its team and deliver for its shareholders, with a perspective that looks beyond today and towards a sustainable future.

The Opportunity

An opportunity has recently arisen for a corporate finance professional with advanced financial modelling skills and a passion for the renewables sector to join Tilt’s Corporate Finance team in Melbourne as a Corporate Finance Analyst.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Finance, the Corporate Finance Analyst will cover a wide remit of corporate finance activities at both business unit and enterprise level.  This includes supporting the evaluation of potential investment opportunities, the financial management of portfolio assets, the creation of information memoranda (and supporting analysis) for capital raising activities, capital planning and associated cash flow / liquidity reporting, participation in the long term strategic planning process, analysis and reporting of trading activity, coverage of the wholesale energy markets - in addition to a raft of ad-hoc projects as requested by the leadership team.

Required Skills and Experience

This is a highly visible position requiring a mix of qualitative and quantitative skills.  The successful applicant will have experience developing complex financial models (ideally of capital intensive asset classes such as infrastructure assets or renewables) from the ground-up and will have tackled issues such as project financings (debt sizing / debt sculpting), investor returns analysis, valuation, tax structuring and the presentation of clear, meaningful outputs to decision-makers.  In addition to this, an ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels, strong commercial acumen and the flexibility to work on a number of different workstreams simultaneously is essential.

It is likely you have completed an undergraduate degree in commerce (or related), ideally coupled with Law or Engineering.  Post-graduate qualifications in finance and accounting (e.g. CFA / ICAA / MAppFin) will be looked upon favourably.
